2023 Minneapolis Athena Award Recipients

Minneapolis Athena Awards

The Athena Award is a powerful statement in the belief that these outstanding female athletes have made a difference, and as they go out into the world, they are the type of people who will continue to make a difference and amaze others.  Recognizing them as they complete their high school accomplishments and athletic career, may just empower them to be the next great leader, entrepreneur, educator – their potential is limitless.  We want to identify and validate them for their efforts and accomplishments.

What Is The Athena Award

The Athena Award is given to one senior female athlete from each participating

school who has distinguished herself in special individual athletic achievement

or superior achievements in one or more sports

Why We Do It

We believe that the recognized female athletes have made a difference during

their high school years and want to celebrate and empower them as they go on to

powerfully impact and inspire others as they go out into the world

How We Recognize Them

Each year the Athena Award committee plans and holds a luncheon event where we

invite and celebrate each Athena Award recipient's achievements and present

them with the award as recognition of their effort and dedication to athletics.

Lunch reservations are no longer being accepted.
